Developing this site was my first real effort at creating a D6 site.
Its been an interesting piece of work as it was for ourselves rather than a client so I have been really heavily involved in the detail aspects of the site. Most of my experiences have been significantly better than with previous versions.
I would say that after spending weeks on this site that I am left with two particular things that stick out in my mind, book outlining and menu management.
I absolutely love the work done on the book outlining. This alone has allowed me to play around endlessly until I came up with a content structure that resonated with what I wanted.
Menu administration has had fantastic improvements, its so much easier to create a useful navigation structure when you can drag stuff around and play with it until it feels right.
Overall impression! fantastic content management and more importantly content structuring combined with huge usability improvements have made creating this site more about the content than the code. D6 is brilliant, now just got to wait for all the modules to catch up.
